Shared agent working rules

  • Inspect the current project state and applicable local instructions before editing.
  • Every planned task (research, development, documentation, review, debugging and operations) must have a Plane work item before substantive work. Reuse existing items, record plan and acceptance criteria, and finish with verified evidence and artifact links. Reference its identifier in handoffs and commits; never maintain a second Markdown task board.
  • Store all durable Markdown knowledge and shared instructions canonically in self-hosted Forgejo. Publish only reviewed sanitized material through MkDocs; keep private operations notes separate and never commit secret-bearing manifests.
  • Report work-period lifecycle metadata to Langfuse through the private local helper; preserve Codex Office hooks and use explicit supported reporting for other clients. No prompts, tool output, code or credentials in telemetry; no model calls for visualization.
  • Keep concurrent work isolated in branches or worktrees. Never stop another agent session, overwrite its edits, or restart shared services without an explicitly coordinated change.
  • Preserve working SSH and VPN access. Keep operational writes authenticated and inside the VPN.
  • Never commit or print credentials, private keys, environment files, transcripts or the confidential infrastructure manifest. Only reviewed sanitized documents may be published.
  • Codex and Claude use their existing subscription clients. OpenCode keeps its own OpenRouter provider configuration. Do not route subscriptions through generic gateways.
  • Read docs on demand, keep this file short, and send only minimal lifecycle metadata to agent dashboards. No model calls to narrate activity.
  • Verify the actual change, record evidence, update the relevant Plane item, and document completed changes without secrets.

Mandatory operating guide: agent-stack.md. Global policy is installed for Windows/WSL Codex, Claude and OpenCode. Read the guide at every task start and after handoff/compaction if absent from context. Active sessions must not be stopped to reload instructions.
